RE: Tablets!

Old thread. But as a retailer I know a thing or two.

Their are some good low priced tablets out their. Most of these are manufacturered and imported from china.

But if your thinking about importing one from china - don't waste your time.

- Firstly you will have to pay import duty and taxes
- Secondly, if anything goes wrong with the tablets - most of the time the Chinese are not interested.
- Thirdly, the quality can be poor.

If you have people on the ground in China, then you can source good versions.

Batteries is another issue. Many have poor batteries which break down quickly.

Warranty? Theres no point in buying extra warranty at all if you buy online. Firstly, according to the Distant selling regulations - you have 7 days to change your mind about the item and return it (in most cases item should remain sealed) The seller has to then refund you in full inc the initial postal charges you paid. They cannot by law charge you restocking fees.

Within the first 6 months, if the tablet has a fault you can demand a refund or repair from the seller.

You can buy good tablets for low prices - but lower the price - the lower the quality.

Ev009 has decent quality, its a low end tablet, cheap, but does the job

And don't be tempted to buy branded goods from china - because they will be fakes.

Plenty of illegal and fake goods on ebay all the time
