I've just posted a link of me reading an excerpt of my book on youtube and well, am getting half decent feedback so far and wanted to see how it was received on here. Let me know if you like it, or not!

That's quite interesting. Were the shades for a more sinister feel or to help with nerves?

I like your different voices! Reminds me of when I used to read Roald Dahl to the children - I loved putting on the voices - especially in the Witches! Big Grin

I enjoyed the choice of music with the reading. I also liked the different voices for the characters and I thought that you read it very well, not too fast and you left yourself time to enjoy it.

Over all I thought it was very well put together.

Hey Stu, I'm undecided. I was distracted by the dark glasses... I found myself wondering what they were about and was halfway through the video when I realised I wasn't listening to the words! Having said that, well done on a brave effort... it has inspired me to check out your books (or is it one?).

Good luck... you're braver than me!

Hey all, sorry for such a late reply. I basically felt too embarrased and pulled the video down, then changed my mind and have reposted it! Lou, yeh the shades were so i could have something to hide behind! it's one thing putting ur book out to get criticised, another putting ur face out! lol. Thanks Susan and Happy Reader for your kind comments, and Ken I agree with you, but I guess the music was to hide my awkward pauses a bit too!! ha ha - really appreciate you're input.
