What I Read

Hello! (Be gentle...) :)

Hello! I'm Reginald and I'm new to this Kindle game, in fact I only have the free reader app for my laptop at the moment Smile What would you recommend to a first time Kindle buyer? I've been looking at the Kindle Fire tablet, but I'm curious as to how much better it is than an older model?

I would also love to hear recommendations for books to download, I'm currently reading the rather compulsive "No Excuse Bruce - The Spark of Life" by David R J Sealey, and I have read a good amount of Terry Pratchett on my reader too. What are your favourites?

Anyway, hello, I hope I can be a valuable member of this excellent community Smile

Hi Reg, and welcome to the forum. You'll soon be addicted to the free downloads of indie books. You could try Dark Tidings by one of our members Ken Magee. Many of the readers and authors on here have recommendations, so I'm sure you'll find something to suit.

Hi Reg and welcome to the Forum Hello

Have a look at our Kindle charts below to see which one would suit you best. I have the original Kindle Keyboard 3G and love it. The Kindle Fire is not yet out in the UK, but shouldn't be long.

I tend to read contemporary fiction and crime/thriller, but there are plenty of fantasy enthusiasts here.

Hello Reg and welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here.Smile

I have the Kindle keyboard and love it to bits. There isn't one bad thing I could say about it, apart from the fact that I need more hours than there are in a day to read everything I want to, but that isn't the Kindles fault!

As others have said, have a look at the recommendations and I am sure you will find plenty to read.Smile
