Repair Help Needed

I have a Kindle Keyboard WiFi. I accidently leaned on it yesterday and a corner "popped" out of the case. I popped it back in and it now won't work. I contacted Support and they went through the 20 second re-set and then said it needs to be replaced. I took their offer of £17 discount but am frustrated that it won't work after such a minor mishap. I have now stripped the device completely and can't see any damage whatsoever. I am left with half a screensaver and lots of white lines on the screen.

Any help would be appreciated. Kev.

RE: Repair Help Needed

I have now stripped down the Kindle and found a cracked screen. The dismantle was fiddly but very straightforward. I contacted amazon and asked if they would supply a new screen (I have already ordered the replacement) and they said no. Makes me wonder now why they asked me if they could help me dispose of the old one!!

Anyone know where a replacement screen can be obtained? It seems ridiculous that the device has to be scrapped.
