Hi there,

I recently listed my eBook for $0.99 in the US, but the US Amazon Store appears to display it for $1.20. I am a UK author, and am wondering if this could be something to do with it. Perhaps the systems are just updating, or is it international related? I'm not totally sure.

Has anyone else experienced this, and how did you get around it?

I see at as $1.20, it's probably sales tax which varies depending on where you are purchasing it from.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I think sales tax sounds like the most likely answer. Thanks for the help! I'm new to the publishing scene so little things like a 20 cent difference are enough to cause a bit of paranoia for the evening. Wink

Hi, The price is $1.20 in Staffordshire. I've noticed that the prices of my books rarely equal the values I chose. However,they are reasonably close, so I just let amazon get on with it. They want to sell as many of my books as I do and I guess they know more about selling than me. Good luck with yours.

Thanks for the confirmation, Chapin. It turns out I had a fantastic day regardless; the short story is say just outside the Amazon Short Story Top 50! Remarkable sense of achievement, even if it is early days. Smile
