Kindle touch cannot connect to WIFI
After two or three years of research, I bought my Kindle touch from Curry's yesterday. Amazon was sending one in 6 weeks, so too long to wait.
It works ok, but I cannot connect it to my wifi I currently have. I am in a Travelodge.
and I use their network, spectrum. I can connect my laptop and my phone, but when I am trying to connect my kindle but I cannot.
I select the WIFI Network Spectrum and press the join button, the following message:
WI-FI LOG IN REQUIRED:
The Wi-fi networked you are connecting to requires you to sign in before accessing the internet. Do you want to go to the Web Browser to sign into?
I press ok
but the browser tries to open amazon and it cannot.
Even if I type in the Browser the spectrum address I cannot connect.
I googled it last night and it seems it has something to do with a MAC address? (not that I know what it is).
My fear is that the Kindle is not ok. The hotel network works brilliantly on my pc and on my android phone.
Any advice?
PS I emailed Amazon and I got a long email asking me to call them....
Thanks!
