Recommendations for an editor?

Hi all,

I'm a newbie, getting ready to publish to Kindle for the first time. I'm struggling to find an affordable editor. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I think I could do with someone who offers something more in depth than just proofreading, such as feedback on character/plot development issues, anything like that. My books are chick lit and young adult romantic comedies.

The prices I'm seeing on some UK editors websites are phenomenal and I simply cannot afford it. If anyone knows of a good, afforable editor, I would really appreciate it!

Many thanks,
Jai

I think here you'll find the cool editor. They have PhD degree. I offered my writing work at Gildeon T.

I would highly recommend David Wailing. I don't know what 'affordable' means to you, but I believe he is very good value. You get feedback on so much more than grammar and spelling. Check out the testimonials on his website:

As the original poster asked the question in 2012, I suspect s/he is sorted by now. For anyone else interested, I endorse Julie's recommendation above. David Wailing is the business!

Ha! Didn't even notice that! I stand by my recommendation though.
