Received an email from Amazon today providing a discount code to pass on to a friend to save them £10 on purchasing a new Kindle. If you are set up to receive emails from Amazon then you should receive this also. Might be of interest to those buying or know someone who is about to. Be quick though, my discount code expires on 10th August.

I have one of these claim codes to give away, too. It's only for the "simple" (£89) Kindle, and you have to use it before 10th August (this coming Friday), but other than that there doesn't seem to be a catch - I think you just enter the code when you get to the checkout, and amazon give you a £10 discount.

As far as I can see, the "giver" doesn't get anything in return, so if you want to take advantage of this then drop me an email on

and I'll forward you the code... first come, first served! Shame to waste it.
