Kindle Fire 2 Release Date Almost Here!
The fourth of July was a very enjoyable holiday this year as all the Kindle Fire 2 fans got word of the rumor that the release date for the brand new Amazon tablet will be August the 7th (article link) and seeing as we are less than two days away from this date I am starting to get worried that the online press is not mentioning the device at all. Was this release date just a rumor gone bad? The Amazon Kindle Fire 2 was really starting to get into trending and its popularity was really booming on the search engines mid July but now the popularity and interest are declining dramatically as it seems Amazon will not meet the expected release date. It seems that Asians, no matter how smart they are, should not be trusted when it comes to rumors and release dates of popular tablet or mobile devices.

The only Kindle fire thing I read about today was a new game type thing possibly in the pipeline...

absolutely irrelevant to me as even if and when I do get a Kindle Fire I don't do facebook, or any other social networking type thing.

Week Commencing 13th August

Some people are confident that the Kindle Fire 2 will come out next week, so confident that they bet the world $110! I am talking about the daring author from Gizmondo who wrote the article $110 Says all the new Kindles are coming next week .

Also, Business Insider reports: Amazon was originally expected to announce its new Kindle lineup in July, but now it looks like we'll find everything out as soon as next week. [source]

Are Amazon clearing stock?????

Totally disagree.

Kindle - Great
Kindle - Cheapo............. Cheapo
Kindle Touch........ Knows the tune but still learning the words
Kindle Fire..... Love it to bits, but Quad Core + Better Res + more Memory + Expandable etc (would love it even more)

Software is only as good as the hardware that runs it - FACT

Hey I love my Kindle...I suppose it would be put in your box marked "cheapo", please dont insult my intelligence, it does the job for me.Thumbs Up.I have no interest in upgrading what so ever when the one I have is sufficient, I dont use it for anything but reading.Reading Kindle..is there anyone out there who uses their kindle for JUST reading, or am I on my lonesome here?Whistle

Reading only for me. I have a 3G Kindle Keyboard but I have bought the cheap kindle for a couple of people and I find it perfectly good, infact I prefer its clean looks compared to the keyboard model.

Software tweaks would keep me happy on the Kindle. Such as a better way to manage collections etc. I think the Fire would be the kit that would best warrant a hardware upgrade.

Nothing "cheapo" about the Kindle 3G keyboard - I love mine! Generally, I just read on mine, but I have used it to access email/FB/KUF when I've been without normal internet access. Kindle Smile

I use my Kindle for just reading, but I have tried to browse online with it, attempts never last long as it is so slow.
I just want a Fire as a new toy, good excuse for a B'day pressie Smile, it's a little more than just an ereader (I hope).
