RE: Backlight versus eInk

I have both a Kindle Keyboard and a Fire, and find that if I am having a long reading session then the KK is definitely kinder to the eyes than the Fire. The Fire is fine for half an hour or so, but I can happily keep going for a 3 or 4 hours on my KK with no problems. Also in bright sunlight then the KK is way better with no reflection at all. Smile
Only happy when I am immersed in a good Kindle book Thumbs Up

RE: Backlight versus eInk

I replaced my Kindle Keyboard with a Paperwhite and its brilliant for night time reading in bed. I can read with Paperwhite on its lower settings with the room in complete darkness. The screen is well lit but not bright. The brightness on the paperwhite can be adjusted between 0 & 24 and I tend to read in the dark with it on 1 or 2.
