UK Kindle Fire - It's official - well almost

Accoring to a leak from UK electronics dealer Dixons (part of the DSG group which includes Currys and PC World), they will stocking the Kindle Fire in their stores later this year. Nobody has said exactly when 'later' will be, but according to other rumours it could be as soon as August 2012.

Apparently they expect it to be in their top 10 selling products this Christmas, along with a mystery product from Apple:

Sounds like they're aiming for the Christmas market.
Any idea why it's taking so long? Is it to do with the online support system rather than the unit itself?

Ooooh, sudden thought - if it's released in August and my birthday's in October.....ooops, did i say that out-loud?

I saw on one forum about a Kindle phone - that is a 'phone' but also easier to read on than other telecommunications devices. Wonder if that's it?
