Humans are instinctive collectors, I guess - I'm thinking back to my 7" singles collection when I was that age - I used to spend hours just organizing them - and I wonder if I'd have bought all those records if they were just MP3s from iTunes.

And wasn't it so much more fun spotting people with newly bought albums in plastic carrier bags in town. You would try and see through the plastic to see what they had bought, and from that you would automatically label them as "cool" or "straight".

I know exactly what you're both talking about! Still got my old LPs and singles from weekend trips to Woolworths (not displayed, admittedly). But I do have my entire collection of Enid Blyton books on view in my bookcase! Ah, those were the days Smile
