You might need to re-enter your wif-fi settings on the Kindle, as I've read people complaining it seemed to lose them when switching the wi-fi off/on after the update. Once you've done that, select turn off airplane mode to turn the wi-fi connection on. If it doesn't connect, try rebooting (hold power button for 15-20 seconds) and see if it works once rebooted. Oh and if all that fails, you could try turning your router off and back on again to see if that 'helps' the Kindle reconnect.

RE: Update problems

Same problem with both my Kindle and my Wife's Kindle. Since the upgrade, we can no longer see the home WiFi network that was used prior to the upgrade. We can see many others (neighbours), but not our own. Hard re-boot of Kindle made no difference. Resetting the router looked promising for about 1 minute, the network name came up (max strength in bars), tried to insert the password, then the network name just disappeared again. Not happy. just want the old firmware back, was very happy with that, no need or desire to change.

Someone help, please!

What I Read

RE: Update problems

I'm having a similar problem, my Kindle is having problems downloading new purchases - I keep having to do a reboot of my kindle for it to scan for new purchases. I've got a Kindle mk3 - anyone one else having similar issues?
