For those of us who love reading, a Kindle, Kobo or Nook is invaluable and I would hate being separated from mine.
But I also love books and there is no way I would part with my collection. I enjoy being surrounded by the well-thumbed, much read, shelves of old friends.
That's a really good point, and I must admit to a sentimental connection to mine. My husband also pointed out to me how much pleasure I get from guests browsing my collection and commenting and/or asking to borrow, something which wouldn't be quite the same if someone came round and asked to scroll through your Kindle list!
