Podcasts - Kindle Touch

Hi all - I'm shortly going to get a Kindle Touch (KT) for my B/day. At least I think I am....... Pretty excited by this as just noticed the KT can play MP3's/audiobooks. My reading so far doesn't show whether I can download and play podcasts on the KT - mostly I get these from the Beeb - Friday night comedy etc but others from websites. They're mostly MP3's so should playing shouldn't be an issue but didn't know if I could directly download or not - if not presume need to transfer to library on PC then to KT?
Also I have a large library of audiobooks (DRM free) in MP4a format - couldn't see any mention of that on the spec's so I presume MP4a won't play?

Thanks for any answers - I did search for podcast info but nothing turned up

I'm not sure about downloading files directly to your Kindle, I'd think possibly not, but maybe someone else will know better. I definitely remember reading that MP4 format won't work though, you'd need to convert them to MP3s.
