FREE 18th to 22nd June: Timeline by David Wailing

What will social media be like in ten years time?

It’s always risky, meeting a strange man for the first time. But not for Joanna O’Donnell. Not in the year 2022.

Her auto – a digital assistant – has scoured his history, his entire timeline. Working for a detective agency, Joanna knows how to unearth secrets.

Joanna’s auto calculates that her date is 85% compatible with her. At last, she’s found her match!

And then, moments before they meet, Joanna’s auto reports there is a 24% chance this man will kill her.

Find out what happens next in TIMELINE - FREE this week!

Review extracts:

"I'm not really a science fiction fan so was surprised to find that Timeline is my favourite David Wailing title so far. This short story is amusing, eye-opening and fills you with adrenalin."

"The story got my full attention before I finished the first page and I carried on reading it to the end. I lost all track of time. I felt like I was transported 10 years into the future, far enough ahead to actually believe that the new technology was possible."

"Absolutely unputdownable short read about what our online daily lives might be like in 10 years time. David has done a wonderful job and his attention to detail is absolutely perfect, from taking a taxi ride to going into a shop - it's almost as if he IS a time traveller and has already been there and done it, because he just seems to know how smart technology will develop to the extent that it will run our lives."

Thanks (love that smiley!) - although I'm a long way off 100,000 downloads. Maybe one day!

In the meantime, I've just discovered Timeline has a brand new review! Groovy

5.0 out of 5 stars A witty fast paced and enjoyable read!, June 18, 2012
By Raci (Ireland)

Having previously enjoyed Wailings Relationship Status, I was looking forward to reading this and I was not disappointed!
It's a fast paced book that gives a humorous outlook on what our future could be with the advancement and over reliance on social media. I loved how in this story, while of a similar style to `Relationship Status' the plot was new and fresh!
