What I Read

RE: The first ebook I ever bought is ...

I bought a few classics and traditionally published ebooks when I first bought my kindle, including Julie Walters' autobiography, but the first self-published ebook I bought was Resonance 1: Birds of Passage by Ben White. It's fantasy and I really enjoyed it. I've just bought the second book in the series, but I haven't had time to read it yet. I especially liked the ending because he didn't go for the obvious happy ending.

What I Read

Like some, I bought a few before I got the Kindle. My first buy was Heat Wave by Richard Castle which I made sure was the first book I read. Fictitious author or not, he/she/they write really good books.
I don`t have to like a book to enjoy reading it.

The first book I downloaded onto my kindle was A Discovery of Witches which was ok, it passed the time.
The first indie ebook I downloaded was Catch Your Death but the one that made me sit up and take notice of indie books was The Tangled Web by Lacey Dearie.

I don't remember the first book, or ebook, I bought but I do remember the first, and only, book I stole. It was from a library. In my panic, I grabbed the wrong book. I stole "The Memoirs of Cordell Hull" a former U.S. Secretary of State under President F.D. Roosevelt. I went back late that evening and slipped it in the return book slot. I knew the police had the library staked out. I also mended my ways and never stole another book.

I'm glad to hear that Patrickt! Why did the Police have the library staked out? Were they waiting for people with late returns?! Wink
