What I Read

Prometheus

We went to see this last night and both really enjoyed it. The storyline was really good and certainly left you thinking afterwards about the implications, something I particularly love in a film. I don't want to spoil anything by giving the plot away, but there is plenty of food for though and plenty to draw you back for part two which I understand is in the pipeline.

We saw the 3D version and for this film it was really well done. It was shot in 3D from the outset unlike some films where it is added in post production, and it does for me make a huge difference. By no means over the top with the 3D, it really helped to draw you in and in places was absolutely stunning.

If you enjoyed Alien (the first one) you are bound to love this.

Also, our cinema now sells clip on 3D glasses for us speccies. They're a huge improvement over wearing two pairs of glasses.

I really want to see this movie, so I think I might trundle along to see it today! Thanks for the thumbs up Smile

RE: Prometheus

Thanks for your insight. I do plan on seeing this as soon as it hits the local theater. After Avengers, it will have a steep hill to climb, but so will the new Batman film. Smile

This one is definitely on my list too. Seen this advertised for quite some time now.

I read somewhere recently that it is actually the prequel to Alien

Yes, that's right it's set several years before the original and explains a lot about what Ripley's team found.

What I Read

RE: Prometheus

Well I'm just back from seeing this and all I can say is OMG what an utterly boring pile of pants.
I'd half joked to myself before going that I should take my kindle and I so wish I had.
I told hubby he owes me big time for making me sit through it. I shut my eyes for a doze a few times but I was too bored to sleep.
He said he thought it was great.

There were probably only about a dozen people in there and a few times I was startled by someone coughing behind as I forgot we were in public.
Please put a bowl of water out for hedgehogs and other night-time visitors, you might just save their life.
While you are at it, feed the birds too. Thumbs Up And come and talk about it at Garden Wildlife Forum
