BT Hub3

Hi

I am new to this forum.
I updated my Kindle yesterday to a Kindle Touch from my old Kindle with a keyboard. I am pleased with the new model.
However I still cannot get the Kindle to connect by wi-fi through my BT Hub3. I have looked at all the suggestions posted on the internet and not got anywhere with this. My old Kindle would not connect and my new one does exactly the same - keeps asking for the password (I inserted the wireless key as this is what it wants apparently).
So we have one of the most popular devices with one of the most popular UK home wi-fi systems and the 2 don't just connect easily. I can't help feel there is either a very easy solution that I am missing or Amazon and/or BT are being very silly (sadly I don't think the latter option can be ruled out).
Any ideas anybody?
Thanks
John

RE: BT Hub3

Have you tried connecting whilst you are out and about to see if it is the Kindle or you router which has the problem? Might be worth a try. Smile

RE: BT Hub3

Thank you. But I have done this correctly. This is not the issue.

The issue is I believe a fundamental connectivity issue between the two devices.

Any further ideas please?

RE: BT Hub3

I have just got my Kindle Touch today and also have a HomeHub3, while trying to set up the WiFi connection I initially got the report coming back that the connection was not working Kindle Sad, but then after a while it magically connected.Kindle Smile
Only thing I can think of that might be stopping your Kindle connecting is that the latest firmware (5.1.0) has an upgrade for WPA2 enterprise connectivity which the HomeHub3 uses.
Are you on the latest Kindle firmware?
Are you entering the WiFi password EXACTLY as on the label (or if you have changed it, EXACTLY as you entered it into the hub)
You can interrogate the hub to see what the password is, open a web browser window, use http://192.168.1.254 to get into the hub (you'll need the admin password off the removable tab or if you've changed this as well, the password you set up)
Go to SETTINGS tab, enter the password, click OK, click on WIRELESS, the wireless password is shown there.
