UK Facebook pages for authors and readers

Hello girls and boys,

Does anyone know of some respected UK facebook pages where authors are allowed to promote at a maximum of once a week?

We don't want to get buried under masses of self-promotion but it might help us all if we knew of the well regulated ones.

I rotate my books on UK Kindle Book Lovers so each book gets an airing about once every three weeks. It seems to result in a couple of sales for a two of them.

RE: UK Facebook pages for authors and readers

Hi Jennie.....

I started a FB Page as I was having difficulty in finding a FB page where I could promote mine....

You are very welcome to add your books to my page, this is a short description on my FB page and a link.... Xx

http://www.facebook.com...

About

To all those out there who are struggling to get the recognition that they deserve after taking the time to either write/publish there kindle books we have now provided the very place to let folks know!

Description

Have you just published a kindle book and are looking for a way to get the word out there? Have you read a fantastic kindle book lately and want to recommend it so that others will read it?

Do you enjoy reading and would you like to post reviews?

Well look no further this page has it all covered!

Simply post the link to your website, books and tell us a bit about what you do or have written.

The rules, well those are simple, just post the link to let us all know about your kindle books whether you are an author, a publisher or have just read a great book lately!

Please note: neither myself nor any of the other admins are in the position to review any books written by others. Please do not ask as sometimes a refusal sounds offensive and that is certainly not the case, it's just that we simply do not have the time.

I hope that you understand....

Thank you.
This is who we are, why we do it and what we do... Forum Publishing Smile

Good luck with your new page, angeleyes, it works well for some, one of whom is The E-reader House on FB.
They are relatively new and have almost 1000 followers.
It's a good mix of authors and readers and I'm sure you'll all be welcome if you feel like joining.

What I Read

RE: UK Facebook pages for authors and readers

On the 8th May, I contacted DailyCheapReads to ask if they would help me promote my books.

I have just received an email saying they have scheduled What Happened to Polly for 20th June in the UK and 22nd June on their US site.

It seems the deciding factor is the number of reviews but I don't know what the threshold is.

Here are their links:

What I Read

RE: UK Facebook pages for authors and readers

Hi Jennie

DailyCheapReads (US version) worked brilliantly for me.

Here are a couple of UK facebook pages you may want to try:-

Amazon Kindle UK (87,621 likes)
Amazon Kindle Lovers UK (1879 likes)

And the US one:-

Amazon Kindle (1.9M likes)

I can't find any official rules about posting, but as long as you don't overdo it, it seems to be fine. Big Grin
