I thought it only kicked in once you had connected via wifi the first time. Until you've done that, you don't have collections enabled.

As said unless you use and download via WiFi the collection facility is not available.

I actually contacted the Kindle help desk when I first got my Kindle and could find no way to use this facility, and they informed me that it is only for WiFi users.

I wholeheartedly endorse this course of action! Wink

Ah buggar then!

All my files are transferred via usb, but I have connected once or twice via wifi, so I guess that's why I have it. Sorry, didn't realise.

Bit of a oversight really on Amazon's part not to include it in the general Kindle software.

RE: So many books, but not enough time!!!

They are really missing a trick here. I am sure that there are lots of Kindle users like me who are either unable or unwilling to use WiFi, but by restricting our access, we have paid the same amount for our Kindle just have to load it in a slightly different way, are forcing us to delete books unnecessarily.

I was so disappointed when I found out that the collections was not available as I had in my mind all my collection titles worked out.
