RE: Movers & Shakers

Congratulations Rosen, Susanne and Alan on being in M&S. I don't ever really check that so I've no idea whether any of my books have ever made it but given my sales I doubt it. My books sell but they're definitely not flying off the shelves Big Grin

RE: Movers & Shakers

Congrats to all those in the movers and shakers list!

I check that list quite often, more regularly than the top100, because it changes more quickly. I often look for at it for ideas of books to buy (as if I need any more in my already huge TBR!!)

I just had a look. 2,222.

But what incensed me was the review complaining about "leant". Methinks Spingal needs to remove the plank from her eye.

(I have commented. I dare say I can expect some vengeful one star reviews as a result. Bah.)

LOL how embarrassing for him, being caught out objecting to British spelling in a British book. Big Grin

What I Read

RE: Movers & Shakers

Wow - I clicked on this thread wondering who was doing well on Movers and Shakers and blimey, it's me! Omg

Thank you everyone and special thanks to joo and Linda for commenting on that review - I feel like two big sisters have just sorted out a bully who pushed me into the sandpit! I wondered if maybe Spingal had a point and it should be 'leaned' not 'leant', but you're quite right that it's an accepted British past tense of the verb 'to lean'. I know there are a few genuine typos and errors in Fake Kate though, so I hardly claim perfection.

What I find bizarre is that someone can read a 140,000 word novel and fixate upon one tiny 'error' that occurs on page 240. But I'm gradually becoming used to odd reviews - it's to be expected when people from across the spectrum pick up your book for free.

Thanks again guys, yet another reason why I love KUF!
