Moving books

Sorry this is a total newbie (and numpty!) question but ...

How do I move books into categories, please? I've created categories for Crime and Children's books but how do I then move the books into them?

  • In the Home screen cursor down to the book you want to move into a collection.
  • Hit cursor right.
  • The context menu for the book is displayed. The first option is "Add to Collection...".
  • Click on the option and your list of collections is displayed.
  • Click on each collection you want to add the book to.
  • Click [Home] to go back to the Home screen.

Note you can add books to multiple collections ("Current Reading" and "Crime" for example).

Cheers,

Jonathan

RE: Moving books

Thanks, Johnathan. Much appreciated.

I don't think I would ever have worked that out on my own. Blush

RE: Moving books

Glad to help.

The "cursor right" bit is not exactly intuitive. There is no visual indicator to suggest that it will do anything. In fact it is only while writing this post that I thought to try hitting cursor left and found it gives a quick "Remove from Collection" / "Remove from Device" option (depending on context). I've been using the Kindle for 18 months and only just noticed it!
