New Find: Kindle Cover!
Apologies, if anyone's already flagged this one up.
Just thought I'd share this for anyone, who like me, has been on an endless quest for a really decent case/cover for the Kindle 4.
I've tried a few already but never been quite content for a number of reasons.
I finally settled on the official Amazon case, which I still believe is the most attractive case out there in terms of design, fit, etc..but within weeks it was scratched to blazes with no obvious cause.
I've been searching furiously for some sort of close alternative and come up with a big fat zero, although there have been one or two I'm tempted by, particularly the Klevercase option.
However, yesterday, purely by accident, I popped into a Waitrose on the way home where I'd originally bought the official Amazon case and sitting next to it was a brand new case by Speck.
The design is very close to the official Amazon case, due to the "snap," in method of securing the Kindle.
However, it appears to be much more solid and durable, the front cover, on the inside has a "raised," velvet area which fits snugly over the Kindle screen when closed.
The only down side for me is that I don't like clasps of any sort, but this one I can cope with as it's a very unobtrusive "bungee," type operation which can just be left alone during the day and closed when taking the Kindle out and about without getting in the way, which so many of the clasps, or elasticated efforts I've seen seem to do.
At the moment, so far as I can see, it's only available from John Lewis/Waitrose, either in store, or online.
All in all, I'd totally recommend this one, if, like I said, you've been on an endless search..
You may find that your Kindle has finally "come home to rest."
Mind you, I've thought that before!
