RE: Reviews for Death in Flitbury Marshes

Congratulations!

I must get round to your books, but as my KUF friends have made me think $ 3 is much for my books, I must admit $ 5,74 makes me think twice Wink

RE: Reviews for Death in Flitbury Marshes

A thoughtful review from someone who gave 4.5 stars to Death in Spigg's Wood a short while ago and went on to read Death in Flitburry Marshes

Story and characters well interwoven, 10 Mar 2013

4 stars This review is from: Death in Flitbury Marshes (Elversford Mysteries) (Kindle Edition)
This author knows how to weave personal lifestyles into the main storyline. The story is out of the ordinary and the last chapter tied up all the unanswered questions in a most interesting way that you almost imagine it is a true account. It is a story, so don't take some of the legal aspects as gospel, and even the author says this. I'm sure she didn't wander too far off the truth. This is where my 'Bete Noir' raised its ugly head and hence the four stars instead of five. I've always said a good story well written can stand on its own merit and doesn't need EXCESSIVE bad language to emphasise the drama and certainly not the 'C' word which was over used. I'm not suggesting purity just moderation. In my working life I worked a lot with the police and I never heard a lot of swearing - maybe times have changed. This is still A GOOD READ.

Yes, I did use the C word in one scene but it was one of extreme verbal violence and taking it out emasculated the scene. I don't normally litter my work with that particular word.
