RE: Film adaptations that surpass the books...I liked the books. The storyline differs in ways I won't mention though. I read the books before I knew there was even a series (no general TV, just one in the bedroom for dvd's etc), and it was because I enjoyed the books that we found out about the series, then went on to watch them. In fact I think only the first series sort of follows the books, but you would have to read them yourself to find out how

RE: Film adaptations that surpass the books...Jurassic Park is a better film than it is a book. Die Hard is better than Nothing Lasts Forever, though it is a good book and worth a look. Also, The Social Network massively surpasses its source material. |
