What I Read

RE: Deletions

I have the Keyboard Kindle, but it should be the same. Have the book you want to delete underlined with the cursor/right click on square button/Remove from Device.

That will remove it from your Kindle, but if you truly want to get rid of it forever, you will need to delete it in Manage Your Kindle on Amazon.

RE: Deletions

Lancer, I think if it is in a collection then you first need to "remove from collection" (highlight it and left click). Then when it is listed on your home screen, you can delete it as Susanne says above.

At least that's what I have to do on my Kindle!

Hi Susanne. Thanks for replying to my query. I do not have a mouse or a cursor on my Kindle Touch so I dont think I can do the underlining and the clicking. I'll try the ''Manage'' route on Anazon though

RE: Deletions

If it's a Kindle Touch you've got, you simply press and hold on the title of the book and a menu will appear, from it, choose 'Move to Archived Items' or 'Remove from Device', and that deletes it from your Kindle, there's no need to remove it from the collection first.

The book will still appear in your archive ('Archived Items') but that doesn't mean it's still on your Kindle, it just means it's still stored for you on Amazon's servers and you can re-download it onto your Kindle whenever you wish. If you want to remove it completely, you do so via the 'Manage Your Kindle' pages on the Amazon website.

You can also connect your Kindle to your PC, browse to the documents folder on the Kindle, and delete all the files shown for the relevant book.

I didn't mean you use a mouse, but in my case on the K3 KB, I use the square button to move up and down to "underline" a book and then right click on the square button to get to "Remove from your Device". As I'm not familiar with the Touch, I can't tell you exactly, but there must be a way of highlighting the book and some sort of menu popping up.
