RE: The Alec Fincham Series by Roger Cave

Looks like I've missed one of the books on offer.

Monticelli Trap (Alec Fincham #11) sees Fincham go on holiday to Sorrento. It's meant to be a break from the action, and the time to spend with Penny, his fiancée. The problem is, he becomes involved with a Mafia Son and then there is no escape, and he can't turn to the police.

What will he do? Where can he go? And on who's bidding?

Read the novel and find out while it's still available for $1.00/£1.00.

RE: Hot in the City - Mini heat wave in the UK

Hi all

It's been 14 months since the last mini heat wave, end we may must becoming to the end of another, but that doesn't mean you can't select some Kindle Indie Authors books to take on you staycations or travels overseas.

The Alec Fincham books are good value at £1.00/$1.00 each and since the last post here, the following books have been released:

Snake Variation (Alec Fincham #10)]
[=Monticelli Trap (Alec Fincham #11)

Torre Attack (Alec Fincham #12)
Mongoose Variation (An Alec Fincham Novella)

The newer novels take Fincham from the Arab Spring, through a tough deal with a Mafia Don, to treasure hunting, amongst other things.
The novella is a little cheaper at 90p, and sees Fincham having to hunt for someone he thought he'd killed. Trouble is, von Priller does more than haunt him, she's going to kill him.

Free Alec Fincham novella 29/8/2014 and 30/8/2014

It’s a novella and runs to 45500 words, so it’s just a little short of a book and runs to around 140 pages.
The new story is called Mongoose Variation (An Alec Fincham Novella).
Alec Fincham is told that Kristina von Priller is not only still alive, but wants to carry out dastardly plan.
She wants to set the Arab nations and Israel at each other’s throats, simply to inflate the price of oil. If Israel is destroyed in the process, then so much the better.

This story sees the return of Kristina von Priller, who first appeared in Fried Fox & English Rat (Alec Fincham Short Stories). However, you don’t have to read them both and they can be read as stand alone stories.

Torre Attack (Alec Fincham #12)

For £1.00/$1.00 you can follow Alec Fincham as he tracks Torre through Universal Studios. Then it's on to The Big Cypress, and Honduras.

Follow the action and the twists and turns as Fincham gets himself deeper and deeper into trouble.

RE: The Alec Fincham Series by Roger Cave

Perhaps I should actually provide some background to the novels?

Some have said they are crime novels, or action/adventure, or even war and espionage based. Perhaps a mix of all these is true.

Fincham is a professional soldier in the Special Boat Service, but is seconded to M.I.6. at Vauxhall Cross to investigate, and in some instances assassinate person, or persons, who are deemed a threat to national security.

This sees him and his team travel the world at behest of the British Government.

Of course, there are guns, girls, and cars, but not in the Bond way. Nevertheless, a reviewer did compare the novels to Flemings famous creation, in that the books will leave you shaken and stirred.

And please don't forget the earlier books, such as The Barcza Gambit (The Alec Fincham Novels) where it all started, and Fincham tries to prevent the war in Iraq escalating into the neighboring countries.

Or perhaps Sicilian Defence (Alec Fincham #2) is more your speed where Fincham has to navigate the murky dealings of a Mafia Son in Sicily, whist trying to prevent a terrorist attack.

Then in Zugzwang (Alec Fincham#4), Fincham returns to e Western Desert of Iraq, but not to fight insurgents, but to prevent a heinous act planned by a man seeking revenge.

For £1.00/$1.00 they're old fashioned action adventure stories. If you enjoy them, then lease let me know.
