3 New Kindle Fire Models?

A hot new rumour is circulating claiming that Amazon are set to release not one new Kindle Fire, but three.

The rumour which appears to have originated in Taiwan claims that Amazon have three models in development, two of which are 7" models at two different resolutions, a 1024x600 model (as per the current Kindle Fire) and a 1280x800 model alongside a 8.9" HD model at 1920x1200.

Whilst the 8.9" Model and an upgrade to the 7" model sound feasible, the co-existence of two new 7" models sounds very far fetched.

As well as these rumours, there are also older rumours of a 10" Kindle Fire being released later this year. Which of these, if any, turn out to be true we can only wait to find out.

As for Two Small KF, makes sense to me - LOW FEATURE LOW PRICE - HIGH FEATURE HIGH PRICE

Then the 8.9" - Well Three models will DIVIDE THE MARKET (hopefully away fro iPad)

Classy Marketing in my view, plus allows Amazon to claim back some of the cost against selling price differentials we have all heard about.

Maybe they should think about getting the KF out in the UK in the first place, deal with the Store THEN bring out a larger size.

4 months on and nothing in the UK yet.

Why hopefully away from the iPad? Having owned both I know that they are very different. If I couldn't afford the iPad, I'd be very happy with solely a KF but I'm very pleased to own the iPad and just a basic Kindle!

I love my KF (Fuego) to bits.... Fits in my 'man bag', so goes everywhere with me. Even watched the GP & Footy in Costa Coffee using it.

For 80p you can buy a cute little 'dust cover' that fits into the headphone jack and has a 'jewel' in blue, red, crystal etc. More importantly, it projects further out than the on/off button so even if you hold the KS down side up, you don't keep hitting the off button
