re-registering kindle keyboard, browser

I want to get a used Kindle Keyboard from my brother, who has de-registered it. If I re-register it will I still get the browser access to all sites, or just to amazon/wiki, etc.? I want to use it mainly to send and receive e-mails on foreign holidays (and read the occasional book!) and possibly do a little light browsing.

RE: re-registering kindle keyboard, browserI have a KK and as long as you use the mobile sites for your email, eg gmail, then it's not too painful a process to email. The only decent browsing you'll manage is to this site. 
Please put a bowl of water out for hedgehogs and other night-time visitors, you might just save their life.
