my kindle fire the screen won't turn.

HI,

my kindle fire's screen won't turn when i turn the machine? Also, how do you close tabs? Once in a while it says to many tabs open? I was playing some music on it and also couldnt firgure out how to turn it off, by luck i must of hit something and it went off.. help..Im new to this.. Thanks!!

see where it says xxxx's Kindle? should be a number against it, tap the number and all your open apps show up in a list, you can close them from there.

Also try a hard reset, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds, I'd make sure its powered right up as well.(without sounding silly there)

You've probably 'locked' the screen in portrait/landscape mode: Touch the settings icon (cog wheel) - top right corner, then click the Locked icon - top left to unlock.

If you mean tabs in web viewer, press and hold the header at the top of the tab, until a menu appears - this will give you the choice of closing this tab/other tabs/all tabs. There's also a small X on the tab header (but my large fingers find this harder to hit!)
