And none of that fancy schmancy stuff with raspberry or syrup either.

Oats. Milk. Microwave.

The 3 minutes cooking time gives me just enough time to check my email on me phone before work as well.

Be sure to soak the bowl in water afterwards. Otherwise you end up with NASA strength crust cemented to it.

I soak the oats in milk for an hour or so before zapping. I like salt and honey or golden syrup on mine. I make it with oat bran sometimes.

Ahhh, porridge. The best breakfast ever. When camping at the beginning of January with my Scouts we introduced the Boy Scouts of America to porridge! Made with milk and water, topped with brow sugar or golden syrup.

No microwave, just a very large pot on a camp stove! YUM!

I always have honey on my porridge, sometimes I have strawbs or a Weetabix as topping. I microwave mine for 2 minutes otherwise it boils over. Great stuff and good for you.

I love porridge, but I've never thought to have it for supper. Maybe tonight's the night!

Re-discovered porridge last year, spend about 20 minutes cooking it in a pan on the hob. I love it. Unfortunately it doesn't love me so I have to have a few porridge free days. Best oats I've found are the ones from Lidl.

As the weather is brightening though, the porridge is being eaten less and back to yummy greek yoghurt and whatever is around to add to it. Thankfully I froze loads of blackberries and home-made compote last year Smile

The chickens like their porridge oats too.

I love porridge, too. We have it for breakfast nearly every day in the cold weather. My husband makes it (on the stove top), as I don't begin to function until I've been up for an hour or so.
