What I Read

Hello from Manchester

Hello everyone. I have been active in the US Kindleboard (since I am an American), but now that I'm living on this side of the Atlantic I'm thrilled to be able to join a board closer to my current home.

I'm a passionate (though eclectic) reader. I'll read just about anything. I love a good physical book, but as I commute by bus I spend a lot of time with my kindle. I don't think I could survive without it. I'm always up for a good recommendation, though I can't afford my habit if I don't stick to the inexpensive stuff.

I also just published my first epic fantasy novel The Weeping Empress, which is 'cheap as chips' (I know, I'm probably the only one who thinks this is still funny as I haven't been listening to it for 15 years).

Anyhow, glad to be here.

Hello Anne Brooke

As the first person to greet me I couldn't help but follow the link to explore your website. I immediately came across this sentence: "Other websites for my fiction are the Gathandrian Trilogy website (for my fantasy fiction), Gay Reads and Biblical Fiction, the latter of which also includes my meditation poetry." (I hope it's ok with you that I cut and pasted it as I did.) This is quite possibly the most contradictory sentence I have ever read, and defiantly too fabulous for words.

Sadie, I just read the blurb on your book - you have an imaginary dog! That's cool, then you only have to take it out if the weather is nice! No muddy pawprints. I wonder what type of dog it is? Big Grin

To be more honest it is the memory of a dog, so I can say with some confidence that he is half black chow, half german shepherd (alsatian), never leaves muddy footprints, barks, or wants to go out in the rain. He is one important step away from being perfect.

Thanks, Sadie! I've never been called contradictory and fabulous before - at least not in the same sentence! Though I must admit I don't see anything contradictory about it at all Smile

Great to have an imaginary dog - that is totally cool!!

Hello Sadie and welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here. We are a very friendly bunch of Kindle addicts, so have no fear, we will soon have your Kindle full of amazing books to read, especially with all the brilliant indie authors here. I love the sound of your imaginary dog, but I am sure you will agree, there is no feeling nicer than that of a waggy tail and wet nose snuggling in to you to make you feel warm and cosy inside.

Just have a good look round the forum and join in wherever you feel comfortable. Smile
Only happy when I am immersed in a good Kindle book Thumbs Up
