What I Read

Reading books in order

If I find an author has written several books with the same characters I do like to read them in order.

This is because I read the 'Inspector Banks' books in a very odd order. So he was married, divorced etc. but not in that order when I read the books randomly.

So now why oh why when I look at some books like this not all the books are available on Kindle.

IE Alex Gray - ALL the books bar the first are available, where is the logic in this? So 9 Alex Gray books (Inspector Latimer) but only the last 8 available. Are the publishers having a laugh with us?

I don't know if it the same, but I read somewhere that with the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich they actually started kindling them with the last one and are working backwards as the most "wanted" ones are the latest ones.
That doesn't help for new readers who'd like to start from the beginning.

Also, it could be that the first book is published by a different publisher and they can't be bothered to kindle these books as there's nothing much in it for them.
