RE: flash player

Make sure you have Accelerate Page Loading turned off (Browser settings). I found that the message did not mean what it says and the Accelerate was the most common culprit. I've moved away from using Silk - look for the other thread re alternative browsers. I'm now using Dolphin HD and have no longer have issues with Flash Player messages

Could you help, I downloaded flash player but when I try to install I get the message "no application was found to handle this file type" I know its a pain but if you could explain step by step how you got flash player on your fire as I am a novice at this.

What I Read

RE: flash player

Flash Player comes installed on the Fire as standard, so you can't install it separately. To enable Flash in the browser, go to the browser settings (menu at the bottom of the screen whilst you are in the browser) and scroll down until you find a setting for Flash and set this to either 'Always' or 'On Demand'. Whilst in the settings screen, go to the part that says 'Accelerate web page loading' (or words to that effect) and turn it off. You should then be able to view Flash websites properly.
