Well done, and many thanks for sharing this. I must get properly organised and get around to arranging some dates.

Here's a quick update.

Since the free promotion ended in February, I've sold 198 copies of Eerie Britain. With 20 sold so far in March, it's clear that the sales are dropping off quickly, but, to be frank, I've sort of hit a wall with where to promote it! Still, the free promotion was definitely worth it. I wonder...if I did another promotion in a couple of months, would it stimulate sales to the same degree? Hmm, worth thinking about!

My KDP Select runs out soon so I will look at putting my book up on other places, then pop back to KDPS for another promotion. Thanks for reading!

I've read a lot of negative comments about KDP Select on various sites so it is good to see some positive feedback. Congratulations.

RE: The Results of My KDP Select Free Promotion

Congratulations on your KDP select free days results Interceptor. Your UK figures in particular were really impressive. When I did 2 free days on 5-6 April 2012, I had 7,607 downloads, 95% of which were in the US. I've had around 140 sales and 15 loans in the 2 weeks since then, which is much better than normal, but this is partly due to running some other promotions after the freebie.

Are you able to post the forums and facebook sites on which you promoted?

Thanks

George
