I was born in Dedham and then we moved to Colchester - Lexden - when I was 11 so I could be near the High School where I went. It's a great town - I have fond memories of The Cups, and The Hole in The Wall Smile

My mother now lives in Tendring - between Colchester and Clacton. Essex, of course, has the best skies in Europe Smile

We are all Kindle obsessed here - and no, it doesn't wear off - it gets worse! You will soon have so many books waiting to be read that it will be hard to decide which gem to read next.

Yes, I have 70, have read about 8 so far - most I've read in such a short time since I was a teenager I think. I am trying to discapline myslef to keep off Amazon and here to stop the continious download. I get very excited when I get a freeby to find its gone back to its original price a few days later.
Note to self: must get a life!

I have been dipping in and out of here most days and just wanted to say hello and so pleased that I'm not the only person who is obsessed with their new kindle. Will the novelty ever wear off??

Hi Debbie,I also got my kindle for Christmas and according to my family, when I'm not reading or downloading, I'm talking about it. The only time it's not by my side is when my 11 year old goddaughter has sneaked off with it, usually before I waken. At least I know what to get her for her birthday.
