RE: Frozen screen?

Try holding the power button in the on position for 7 seconds or so.

If that fails do it for 20 secs to perform a hard reset on the kindle.

RE: Frozen screen?

Mine used to get stuck on facebook. A long reset usually fixed it as you have found out.

RE: Frozen screen?

My Kindle Keyboard froze 3 days ago. I have not been able to unlock it. I have done soft resets, hard resets and removed/replaced the battery, all to no avail. I contacted CS, and they had me go through the resets again after charging up the battery. Same results, the Kindle remains broken. CS said it could not be fixed and they would offer me a new K3 for US$65.

Before doing that, I would like to see if anyone knows how to fix a unit that does not respond to a hard reset.

Thanks for any help.
