What I Read

RE: Just Finished Reading .....

I have just finished Glasshopper by Isabel Ashdown this morning. It was a compelling read. I found the ending unbearably sad. This has not stopped me enjoying the book though. I have read her 2nd book first Hurry Up and Wait which I thought I would not enjoy but ended up loving it.

I read Glasshopper and loved it too. Hurry Up and Wait is in my TBR pile, so something to look forward to.

Just finished Blue Mercy by Orna Ross. If you were lucky enough to get it when it was free recently, bring it to the top of your TBR pile and if not, well worth the money. I'm still reeling from the end.

i finished that a couple of days ago. I don't know why, but I just didn't take to it as much as her other books. Probably because I didn't really like Mercy very much Confused

Oh, that's interesting! I liked her, but not Star, although that's hardly surprising.

I didn't like Star either LOL but i did feel sorry for her because she had Mercy for a mother. Thinking on it, I didn't like her from the moment she admitted that she had lied about what had happened to her husband. I thought that if she would lie about that, then I couldn't really trust anything she had to say.

Hmmm, her love for Star was cloying and over-protective, but I think I understand why - sort of - and it made her more vulnerable and human. She was damaged by her past. Anyway, we have to agree to differ! Smile
