Just fished a poor drowned bush snake out of the pool.  I wonder how Mavis and Frank would have dealt with this Big Grin

This was posted on a Facebook page Smile

Just read "But can you drink the water" by Jan Hurst-Nicholson about a family who emigrated to Durban from LIVERPOOL, in the 1970 and Oh how it brought back memories of our emigration. Laughed out loud at the preconceived ideas we had of South Africa before living here. Can thoroughly recommend it to any other ex-pats

Thanks, Scribbler. It is my best seller and best earner Smile

BTW Just had someone from Pensby Secondary make contact with me through Facebook.  She said another classmate is living in Durban! Not easy tracing classmates who have married and changed their names.Rolleyes

You're welcome, Jan.

I didn't realise Pensby had a secondary! I think the girl from Pensby who got my feathers all of a flutter was called Christine Mc Coy, or something like that (it was a loooong time ago). Pondering

Pensby Secondary Modern Smile. Was 'a long time ago' during the very early Beatles era? Do you remember Gus Travis and The Midnighters?
