It’s a light-hearted variety of ‘back page’ humorous articles, short stories ranging from hypochondria to murder, plus a quiz, agony aunt column, limericks and a collection of malapropisms to keep passengers amused.

REVIEWS
"Should be compulsory reading to keep incorrigible chatterers quiet" - Frequent Flyer.
"Could also be used to ram down their throats" - Flight Attendant.
"The stories about me are hugely exaggerated" - Author's Spouse.
"Shredded drafts of this book line my litter tray. Royalties from this book will go towards proper deodorized litter and reduce complaints about the smell" - Family Cat
"What a relief that will be" - Family Dog.

If you buy the paperback you get the ebook FREE.

Ideal as a gift.

Hoping the anthology will be out soon Smile. It's published by My Funny Books and it's titled Major Medical. They have taken three of the articles from Something to Read on the Plane

RE: This muesli must be old, it’s got weasels in it.

Major Medical is about to be sent to the printers. This is the bio they've used for my stories.

Jan Hurst-Nicholson wrote for South African magazines for years, much of it compiled into Something to Read on the Plane. Her humorous novel on adapting from Liverpool to Durban, But Can You Drink The Water? has been joined by award-winning Leon Chameleon PI children's books, YA Mystery: Mystery At Ocean Drive, and the family saga The Breadwinners, as well as many other books from Penguin and Cambridge University Press. Jan's writing also appears in Edge Words (stories from the Cheshire Prize for Literature), Chicken Soup, and Summer Shorts. She lives in Durban with two dogs that are forever on the wrong side of the door, an elderly cat, and the occasional visiting troop of boisterous vervet monkeys. See more about Jan and her many books at http://www.just4kix.jimdo.com.
