RE: Dark Tidings - the sequel

The Dark Tidings is finished and with the publisher for the final formatting. We still have to agree the title and the blurb. Here's the working draft. I think it captures the theme of the book, but it doesn't indicate that it should make you laugh. Still some work to be done.

Ancient magic has infected the Internet and it’s going to destroy civilisation as we know it.

Previously - Ancient magic has transported Tung, a young thief, and Madrick, a has-been wizard, across a millennium. The powerful magic they brought with them was unwittingly spread over the Internet by Michael, a hacker whose good intentions far outstripped his common sense.

Problem - Civilisation simply can’t handle the unforeseen consequences of the magic and the only people who can prevent the ensuing catastrophe are the same three who created the mess in the first place.

Now - To make matters even worse, evil wizards have followed Tung and Madrick through time. They’re determined to hunt down and destroy the pair, and with them, our modern way of life. Saving the world has just got a whole lot harder.

As always, views and comments would be greatly appreciated.

The Dark Tidings sequel, The Black Conspiracy, is due for publication at the end of August. To prepare the way, the price of the Dark Tidings Kindle version has been reduced to £1.02... it was supposed to be 99p but apparently VAT messed with the calculation! Undecided

I'm hoping the price reduction will encourage a few more people to read Dark Tidings and generate extra interest in the sequel. Fingers crossed.

Thank you for reading this.

I know, I know.

The sequel seems to have been finished for ages, but we got stuck on agreeing all the other peripheral bits and pieces. The cover is agreed, the blurb words are agreed but there's still one unresolved issue about the blurb font type and sizes Undecided. Any day now... honestly!

Here's the cover, just so you know something is happening. I wanted it to be a little sinister and have a strong visual link with Dark Tidings... I think it achieves that.
