Hi all.
First post for me. I have to say that Lou your threads on getting the touch here in the uk has made me so happy that I am unable to keep the smile from my face. This is going to be one amazing Christmas for me.

Before I get my bank card out though I would like to ask some opinions. I have a lot of PDFs in uni, comics (Im a geek and proud Thumbs Up ). I would like to know if anyone with a touch can tell me how the touch handles PDFs. Can you zoom in, is it the classic pinch movement. If you cant zoom in do PDFs display well enough to read.

I hope to use this forum a lot. I have wanted a Kindle for a long time as I am dyslexic and reading on pure white paper is a nightmare. I have missed reading and I hope this will get me back on par with my English lit / drama graduate fiancée Big Grin

Regards
Jez

Update.
PDFs are supported but the touch has no landscape option, this seems to make most people angry but there is a pinch and zoom option and panning options too. Amazing what you can find after a bit of procrastination when your supposed to be writing an essay Big Grin

RE: PDF support

Hi Jezarl,

Sorry for the late response - I must have missed your thread when you first posted it, but you seem to have answered most of the questions yourself now Smile

I did mention about the PDFs in my review - if you can live without the landscape mode then they're ok.

RE: PDF support

My experience with PDF's is mixed. It will convert PDF's based upon text but some symbols such as in equations and formulae may be corrupted and unreadable.
Also be aware that some PDF's are based upon scanned documents, and while that is ok for a larger monitor screen, they are impossible to read on the kindle - and the pinch movement will NOT work on these well. With these it works as a magnifier that is not easily controlled.

As someone on another forum said, PDF and "end" format, and it is not designed to be converted "from". If you can, get a version of the document in text or epub, and use CALIBRE.

You can buy essays online from many sources, the thing is that whom to rely upon and who will provide you best online service. To hire a writing service, you have to know everything there is to know about your specific paper. Don’t just tell them the topic and a word limit. Tell them your key points to use in your documents. They need to know about the important points that the writer must include in the document. I would like to recommend you to use Online service provider name as The getyourwriters.com guarantee on quality service and never compromise on deadline
