You want to see my Kindle Touch method - it's quite painful on the fingers though. Those extra few mm make all the difference.

The only frustrating thing about them is that you order the goods and then they send you a bill, but that means credit scoring you to see if you are worthy! I tried all ways to get them to just take an order on the phone without opening an account but they wouldn't have it. So I just gave in and opened the account. There's nothing to stop you paying them off in one go though to avoid interest charges - which is the real reason that they want you to open an account in the first place!

My 8 month old WiFi only keyboard Kindle died and has recently been replaced by Amazon ( very efficiently ) so they must have them and now I have a spare one as bought one as just off on holiday and should have talked to Amazon firsy !

I am a new Kindle 3 owner and got the WiFi and 3G model. I have only downloaded with WiFi as I have it at home. I have not used the 3G, is there anything special I have to do if I want to download away from WiFi to access the 3G ? If one is traveling, wouldn't the 3G be useful? I am wondering why some have suggested that 3G may be phased out on Kindles. Thanks in advance. Donal

If you are away from your WiFi and press the "Turn Wireless on", it will automatically go to 3G, you don't have to do anything "special".
