I'm not really one for reading "proper" fantasy. I prefer mine to be light hearted / for the younger audience / surreal Big Grin but decided to take a look at this one as it is a novellette.

I must admit it kept me turning the page. It wasn't as complicated as I thought it may have been. It felt like it was a chapter out of a bigger book, although there was no back story needed and it didn't end on a cliff hanger.

I certainly enjoyed it and would consider more from this author, although I'd prefer a longer story for my money.
Please put a bowl of water out for hedgehogs and other night-time visitors, you might just save their life.
