RE: Steve Robinson - Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Crime Mysteries

Thanks Sujay. I don't suppose it will draw many readers to my genealogical crime series as it's just the book cover with no description but it's nice to have my cover out there in magazines - and to be mentioned on the same page as Dan Brown and Terry Pratchett! Smile

That is worth a lot of words in itself. Seeing a photo of the cover will make people want to go and have a look at it I am sure. Smile

I've not seen the magazines yet. I think it's a full page ad. so maybe you can see the words at the top - "A Genealogical Crime Mystery". Then anyone who sees it will at least know what it's about which should help.

A new interview has been posted on a genealogy website newsletter - Lost Cousins. Some very thoughtful questions.

Here's the link if you'd like to read it.

RE: Steve Robinson - Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Crime Mysteries

A little Friday update... Progress on the third JT Genealogical Crime Mystery is going well. Half way through the first draft and looking good to have the first draft finished by the end of October.

On another note I tried fasting yesterday. A silly thing to do if you ask me. Mrs R wanted to give it ago after hearing about the benefits on TV the other week so we both did it to support one another. Anyway, Mrs R came home from work with a raging headache and while my head was a bit fuzzy when I went to bed, it really hurt by morning. I think it was because we didn't drink any tea - caffeine withdrawal perhaps. I won't be doing that again. I need tea!

I've been a busy boy and am happy to report that the first draft of JT's third outing is finished!

I'm two weeks ahead of where I wanted to be and I've even written the blurb, which I hadn't planned to start until next month. Mrs R will be reading it this weekend and if it gets the thumbs up I'll be able to tell you more about it soon.

I can't wait to get the title and cover out there. Smile

Thanks Sujay. I'm just running through a 'common mistakes' edit now. I do hope Mrs R doesn't find any serious (delaying) flaws.

Should be okay, Sujay. I've been twittering on about this story for some time at home now so Mrs R won't be getting too many surprises. A bit of editing should be about it.

As well as editing, I've been finishing the book jacket and blurb today. It's looking scarily close to ready now, but I'll read it and listen to it at least once more before the proofreader copies go out. I was hoping to release it next spring, lol, not the end of this autumn!
