I didn't actually by a Fire myself, but for a Kindle Touch 3G @ $189 it cost £190 to get it into the UK so it would be just a little bit more than that for the Fire via Bundlebox.

I hope you put it against tax, Lou, as you need it for KUF.

I bought this for me personally really, and I keep KUF funding stuff separate from my business dealings as it has the potential to get way too messy.

RE: How to Get a Kindle Fire in the UK

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum, in fact forums in general so apologies if I get it wrong.

It seems to me that a lot of what I've been reading on this site has been posted befor Christmas, so I would love to hear from someone with some upto date news if at all possible.

I really want to know if I can get a Kindle Fire that will actually work alright in the UK, I've seen a US version which I can buy, but will it cause me problems if I get it and use it here???

Any info would be much appreciated

Thanks
Angie3

RE: How to Get a Kindle Fire in the UK

There are some sources of the Kindle Fire in the UK, for example Simple Electronics (Not a recommendation - I don't know anything about them). However my understanding is that movie download, the Amazon App store etc won't work in the UK yet. This is more likely to be due to lack of licensing deals between Amazon and the content owners and infrastructure capacity limits rather than hardware availability. There doesn't appear to be a backlog of orders for Kindles in the States now so I assume Amazon are now planning a UK launch...
