What I Read

RE: Roger Cave

So, it's been a long time since I updated this. So, what's new?
Well, I finally decided to release Lion's Jaw (An Alec Fincham Novella Book 2), which sees Fincham return to Iraq on a covert mission.

However, that was only a novella, and I've now added book thirteen to the series, and that's called Red Queen (Alec Fincham #13). This one sees Fincham being sent to Kazan to act as a bodyguard for a diamond buy. However, it's about more than diamonds, and soon Fincham is swept up in a a trail of lies, treachery, and violence.

And next? Well, I'm currently working on three stories at the same time, so you'll be hearing more from Fincham.

If anyone has any questions, then drop me alone, I'd love to hear from you, or visit my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Roger-Cave-490015851063939s

RE: Roger Cave

Well, started three at once, but one is taking precedent. It's to be called...
Accelerated Dragon.
Fincham's dealing with the Russians again, but who are the bad guys?

What I Read

RE: Roger Cave

Gosh, April since my last visit.

So what's happened in that time. Well, Accelerated Dragon is now 60000 words long, but it's not moving along as quickly as I wanted, as I had to study for an exam for a couple of months. Still, I'm getting back into it now.

I've been looking at book prices and promotional sites, as that's still the bit that I'm poor at, and Let's face it, I could do with improving my sales figures.

In the meantime, I'll crack on with the book, and catch up with my own reading.

What I Read

I don't use this threads as much as I should.

I'd pretty much stopped writing for a couple of years, life and work created a perfect storm, but I've decided to pick it up once more.

First step was to revisit the book covers for all 14 books, as I wanted them to be more reflective of what's contained within. Most of the covers now portray an image of something which happens in the book.

Then it was a revisit tongue blurb for book 1 The Barcza Gambit: The Alec Fincham Novels#1 to smarten it up.

Then there were a couple of thank yous for reviews I hadn't seen. One a member here, from across the pond. The reviews were so detailed I just felt I owed a bit of a thank you for taking the time to read the books, and write such thorough reviews.

Then I smartened up my Facebook page, just to make it book related.

Next was to join Bookbub, as during my catch up over the past few weeks a lot has changed in respect to marketing. I've been playing catch up here, as well a playing with the Amazon Advertising, which has been a little bit and miss so far. I'm playing with different keywords and phrases as well as trying a few other bits I've picked up.

Somewhere in all of this, I'm also trying to pick up the two unfinished books I began a while back. They have names, structure, and the lead into the main plots, but a lot to deliver yet.

As for reading, all I've managed in six months is Strangers on a Train, and actually wasnt too keen on the story, which perhaps answers the pace of reading the book (I have read 12 on a fortnight's holiday in the past).

I'm not sure working from home has helped in the least in the past 6 months, nor loosing my job, but I'll be back on track with the writing soon.
