New Sony Reader WiFi + Free Harry Potter

Sony are now pushing their new Sony Reader WiFi with a a free copy of the first Harry Potter novel when it becomes available (US and Canada only so far).

The new reader features a 6" touch screen, built in WiFi and claims to be the lightest 6" eReader ever. The spec sounds about the same as a Kindle 3 except for the touch screen and it's a nice looking reader with a choice of colours available. Whilst I wouldn't expect it to steal the show from the Kindle, it certainly seems like a good choice outside of Amazon.

Interestingly there is a stylus option, much like the rumoured Kindle Scribe may have.

On a side note, I have to wonder how Sony managed to trademark a term as generic as Reader?

RE: New Sony Reader WiFi + Free Harry Potter

Sorry, but I don't think having a free download of Harry Potter when it becomes available is going to persuade me to buy this over a Kindle. Or having a stylus either. I think I will stick with my Kindle! Smile
Only happy when I am immersed in a good Kindle book Thumbs Up
