Excuse the Hole.

Well, I've came down to earth with a clatter hence the large hole here, be careful where you put your feet. Confused

Here I am cruising the web, here and at Amazon on the latest on Kindle deliveries etc., my eldest nephew asked to look up Koala's online, I asked what for, he said his Mom asked him to ask me to let him on my computer to look them up online.

Next minutes he's off playing with his brother's outside.

My brother phones and asks me to drop his three boys off at his house for him. When I get there the eldest goes out riding his bike, my brother shouts him back and asks him if he did his homework. When he's says he asked and I said no, I was confused. He was supposed to ask to do his homework here on the computer he said he asked, which he did in a way. Once after his dinner, saying he wanted to look up Koala's and his Mum said to ask me to let him.

I agreed he asked me but took off outside two minutes later without mentioning homework. And my brother asked if he mentioned School work when he asked and I said no so he was sent inside to do it his parents computer.

I feel rotten Sad I wasn't paying all that much attention to why he was asking to get on the computer and even though he didn't mention anything about homework, just said he wanted to look something up and not why I still feel at fault that he's in trouble with his parents for not doing his homework despite asking me to look it up.

Yikes ... kinda brings you back to the real world when the little things crop up especially after spending so much time online over the last few days. Makes you take stock of what real life really is!!Blush

RE: Excuse the Hole.

Real life has a bad habit of interfering with things we enjoy doing. Big Grin

You can only be held partly responsible. It was obvious he didn't really want to do his homework (what kid does?) and so he grabbed at the first excuse for getting out of it and went to do something far more interesting.

Things computer/internet related have often made me forget that I've got a partner and child and that there's a whole world out there. Obviously striking a balance would be best all round but that's easier said than done.
